Crayfish foraging behavior responses to varying temperatures and dissolved oxygen concentrations in artifical streams


Abstract: 
The duration of crayfish (Orconectes rusticus and O. virilis) foraging forays were observed in artificial streams with manipulated temperature and dissolved oxygen levels. For each treatment there are 10 replications for each of the two species. For each trial the temperature, DO concentration, and trial length were recorded. Experiments were conducted at the University of Michigan Biological Station's Stream Research Facility.

Methods: 

There are for treatments in this data set. Treatment 1 is the control with controlled temperature and DO concentration. Treatment 2 is elevated temperature and controlled DO concentration. Treatment 3 is controlled temperature and reduced DO concentration. Treatment for is elevated temperature and reduced DO concentration. For each treatment there are 10 replications for each of the two species. For each trial the temperature, DO concentration, and trial length were recorded.
